What difference does it make what form of government we live under? History gives us many examples of various forms of government. All forms of government have beneficial qualities. All have the potential to become utterly corrupt. The fewer people in power the easier a government should be to control/correct assuming the people maintain the power/authority to do so. The larger the government the more difficult it will be to correct its course (think Titanic).
The majority of U.S. citizens are stupid, lazy, and ignorant people. It's too bad. We had such a good thing. If a literacy test was introduced wouldn't it be nice? Remember when women didn't have the vote? What about blacks? Did you ever read the original state constitutions which required a belief in Jesus Christ as a prerequisite to hold office? And that usually at the exclusion of Catholics. Did you know that at one time in our nation's history there was an Anti-Masonic party? When rebellion from England became our destiny, we united as a nation of questionable Christian character. The Bible has something to say about rebellion. It also refers to a nation separated from another in the imagery of eagle's wing being torn from a lion's back.
And with regards to the Bible, a nation which followed that holy book would not allow the charging of interest we've been burdened by.
The downward slope we've been on since our founding may not have been so rapid if we held on a bit more dearly to God's word.
But it was foretold that the kingdom of heaven would be like dough with leaven added. And also like a mustard tree with all manner of birds living in it. These aren't positive images. Leaven is ALWAYS symbloic of sin. The birds are often representative of the demons. And so that's where we are in the kingdom of heaven on earth. Corruption is evident everywhere. Not to worry. The King of Israel will soon sit upon His throne. Even after JESUS sits upon the throne for 1000 years and the deceiver had been bound for just as long, the corruption of man will make itself known. Social engineering will be proven as impotent as psychology. God is my sovereign. I can embrace socialism as an unwelcome step parent knowing that my real father will enforce His visitation rights when He comes to take us away.
And I pray for my mother(Columbia) for she has played the whore with liberty and even now courts Islam the murderer of her dear children. REMEMBER THIS: Columbia was already destroyed once over Palestine!!!
